Rearden RPB Features The Rearden RPB muzzle brake is machined from 17-4 PH H900 stainless steel a precipitation hardened alloy chosen for its strength and resistance to the heat and pressure cycling that comes with repeated firing. Built specifically to be compatible with Atlas Atlas XL and Plan B style suppressor mounts the brake serves as the fixed attachment point that a quick-detach suppressor mount locks onto. Rearden specifies that proper installation requires an alignment rod to confirm the entire system is set up correctly along with careful attention to torque specifications and a clean square mounting surface. The device includes shims so installers can fine-tune alignment and ensure a tight repeatable seal between the brake and barrel shoulder. Threaded 1/2x28 with a .280 bore size the RPB accommodates smaller to medium bore rifle calibers without risk of baffle strike when a suppressor is later attached through the compatible mount. A black nitride finish adds surface hardness and corrosion resistance while helping the brake achieve the tight seal that quick-detach suppressor systems depend on for consistent performance. Rearden specifically warns against using the device with a Q-brand suppressor since doing so voids the included warranty. At roughly 1.74 inches long and 2.24 oz the RPB adds minimal length and weight to a barrel while providing a dependable suppressor-ready foundation.
