Ravin Crossbows String and Cable Set Features The Ravin Crossbows String and Cable Set is purpose built to restore an R500 series crossbow to its original factory performance after normal wear sets in. Strings and cables stretch and fray with use and Ravin s own guidance calls for replacement every 2 years or 400 shots to keep speed accuracy and reliability consistent. Using genuine Ravin components ensures the replacement set matches the tolerances the crossbow s cam system and limb assembly were designed around. This keeps the crossbow shooting the way it did the day it left the factory rather than drifting out of tune. Replacement should always be handled with the Ravin Press a tool made specifically for Ravin crossbows and never to be used on any other brand. Following the instructions and warnings that come with the press is essential since improper string work on a reverse draw crossbow can be dangerous. This set is compatible exclusively with the R500 R500E R500 Sniper and R500E Sniper so owners of those models can be confident the fit and function will be correct. Finished in Black it is the straightforward way to keep a Ravin crossbow performing at its best for years of hunting.
