Horizon Firearms Vandal Dark 2 Features The Horizon Firearms Vandal Dark 2 pairs its purpose-built .22 Creedmoor chambering with an 18 spiral fluted threaded stainless steel barrel that sheds weight while managing heat during extended range sessions. A 1:8 twist rate stabilizes the long heavy-for-caliber bullets the .22 Creedmoor is built around which is what lets this rifle reach the 3 070 fps velocities Horizon lists with 80-grain ELD-M projectiles. The 5 / 8x24 threaded muzzle ships with an Iota Sim Brake installed cutting felt recoil and muzzle rise so the shooter can spot impacts through the scope on follow-up shots. A TriggerTech trigger rounds out the action giving a clean repeatable break that lets the rifle s inherent accuracy translate directly to the target. The textured Iota EKO carbon fiber stock is finished in a camouflage pattern and built for rigidity without adding unnecessary weight to a rifle meant to be carried as well as shot. A full-length Picatinny rail across the receiver provides a stable repeatable optics mounting surface for the glass this rifle s capability demands while the Arca rail forend allows direct attachment of Arca-compatible bipods and tripods without extra adapters. The right hand bolt action feeds from a 5-round capacity keeping the action s footprint trim for prone and barricade positions alike. Built for all ages and experience levels the Horizon Firearms Vandal Dark 2 is ready for serious long-range work the moment it leaves the box.
