Horizon Firearms Venatic Features The Horizon Firearms Venatic is built around the Stiller Wombat action a lightweight receiver designed specifically for hunters who carry their rifle over long distances in demanding terrain. Its 22 inch spiral fluted threaded barrel is machined from Benchmark 416R stainless steel with the fluting cutting weight while the spiral pattern helps dissipate heat during strings of fire. A 1 in 8 twist rate stabilizes heavier 7mm Backcountry bullets for consistent accuracy at extended range. The included Iota Sim Brake tames recoil and muzzle rise helping the shooter stay on target for a fast follow up shot on game. The Iota EKO X carbon fiber stock is purpose built for the lightweight hunter with thumb detents and a long grip that keep the hand positioned naturally through recoil. A negative comb design lowers the stock line relative to the bore giving a comfortable cheek weld when a scope is mounted on the drilled and tapped receiver. A Picatinny rail mount adds further versatility for optics or accessories in the field. The highly regarded TriggerTech trigger rounds out the package with a crisp consistent break and at 6.80 pounds the Venatic carries easily across a full day of mountain hunting.
