Area 419 Arcalock Universal Dovetail Rail Features The Area 419 Arcalock Universal Dovetail Rail is machined to the RRS 1.5 inch Dovetail Standard so lever clamps and other Arca compatible accessories are guaranteed to work correctly once installed. Its serrated rail sides interface with Area 419 s proprietary clamp design to mechanically lock the rail in place eliminating the movement that can occur with standard Arca rails under a simple friction clamp. Those serrations are designed to grip without being sharp so they will not damage bags hands or gear during use. The rail remains backwards compatible with standard Arca accessories as well though it will not lock in place without Area 419 s own clamp. At 10 inches long the rail provides generous real estate for mounting tripods bipods and other attachments without extending too far past shorter forends all while weighing just 3.35 ounces. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a Type 3 hard coat anodized Black coating it is built to resist wear from repeated mounting and field use. Every edge is chamfered and every corner radiused on the machine a slower process that results in a rail with no sharp edges anywhere. Designed to attach to the rifle at up to four points for maximum strength and stability it ships with a Remington 700 style action screw plus the T-nuts and hardware needed for installation.
