Area 419 ARCALOCK Universal Dovetail Rail Features The Area 419 ARCALOCK Universal Dovetail Rail is built around serrated rail sides that are the key to the system interfacing with the Area 419 clamp design to mechanically lock the rail in place so no movement is possible under recoil or handling. Those serrations are not sharp and will not damage bags slings or hands during use in the field or on the bench. The rail still works with standard Arca-type accessories for shooters who have not yet moved to the Area 419 clamp though it will not lock without it. Designed to attach to the rifle at up to four points the rail delivers maximum strength and stability for serious positional and prone shooting. Made from 6061-T6 aluminum and Type 3 hard coat anodized the rail is built for long-term durability in harsh field and range conditions. It ships with T-nuts and hardware along with an extra Remington 700-style action screw of extended length to help fit the rail to the front action screw attachment point though some trimming may be required. While designed with Manners Composite Stocks in mind this rail accommodates a wide range of rifle and stock configurations that have an accessible front action screw and a front attachment point. A 3/4 paddle bit and drill press may be required for tee-nut installation depending on the rifle s existing configuration.
