Area 419 Arcalock Dovetail Rail Features The Area 419 Arcalock Dovetail Rail introduces a mechanically locking ARCA system addressing the sliding problem that occurs when a barricade stop is used on a standard friction-only ARCA rail. Serrated rail sides interface with Area 419 s proprietary clamp design to mechanically lock the rail in place so no movement is possible while the serrations themselves are designed not to damage bags or hands. The rail remains backwards compatible with standard ARCA accessories though it will only achieve the locking function when paired with an Area 419 clamp. Requiring 6 consecutive M-LOK slots to attach this rail is intended for stocks with sufficient M-LOK real estate along the forend. At 12 inches long the rail covers the entire length of a typical stock forend giving shooters ample room for mounting bipods barricade stops and other accessories. Despite its length the rail weighs in at just 4 ounces keeping added weight to a minimum on a precision rifle build. Every edge is radiused and chamfered during machining eliminating sharp edges that could catch gear or hands.
