Area 419 Improved Bipod Rail Features The Area 419 Improved Bipod Rail is machined from 7075-T651 aluminum to maximize strength while keeping the overall weight to just 1.09 ounces lighter than smaller competing rails that offer fewer mounting options. At 4.8 inches long with 10 slots it provides 43 percent more usable mounting positions than the competition giving shooters far more flexibility in where they position a bipod or accessory. Every corner is radiused and every edge chamfered on the machine a slower process than most manufacturers use but one that eliminates sharp edges entirely. Every slot on the rail remains usable regardless of where the mounting screws land since the screw heads sit countersunk below the slot surface rather than protruding into it. A full-width lug accommodates Larue style bipod mounts giving shooters a reliable tool-free attachment point for a wide range of bipods. The rail accommodates screw hole spacing from 1.5 to 3.475 inches center to center covering most common stock configurations though spacing closer to 1.5 inches is not recommended with a flush cup carry mount due to added leverage on the stock s thread insert. Shipped standard with two low-profile 10-32 by 3/4 inch socket head cap screws and two tee-nuts the rail installs into stocks with no existing hardware already present. Made in-house in the USA from domestically sourced aluminum the Improved Bipod Rail gives precision shooters a stronger lighter and more flexible bipod mounting solution.
