Aero Precision Atlas R-One Handguard Features The Aero Precision Atlas R-One Handguard uses the company s proprietary ATLAS attachment system which relies on two mirrored tapered locking nuts to distribute clamping pressure evenly across a custom engineered barrel nut via a turnbuckle screw. This even pressure design avoids the distortion that can occur with other handguard mounting systems during installation keeping the handguard straight and true to the bore. A ratcheting detent further locks the system in place while providing positive registration so the handguard seats consistently every time it is installed. All mounting hardware needed for installation ships with the handguard. Machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and finished in black anodizing the 7.3 inch handguard weighs just 5.22 ounces keeping the overall rifle light and well balanced.
