Sylvan Arms Osprey Features The Sylvan Arms Osprey suppressor is built around a grade 9 titanium tube finished in matte black Cerakote giving the suppressor a lightweight yet durable outer shell suited to 5.56 and .223 Remington rifles. Inside a 17-4 stainless steel blast chamber and blast baffle absorb the most intense heat and pressure near the chamber end while a grade 5 titanium baffle stack handles the remaining suppression with reduced overall weight compared to an all steel design. The steel muzzle device uses a nitride finish for added corrosion resistance at the point where it threads onto the barrel. Threaded 1/2x28 the suppressor mounts via direct thread eliminating the need for a dedicated proprietary muzzle device to achieve a repeatable mount. At 8.1 inches in length and 14.3 ounces without the muzzle device the Osprey keeps the rifle s balance manageable even with the suppressor installed. Sylvan Arms specifies minimum barrel length recommendations for sustained or rapid fire use including 10.5 inches for 5.56/.223 and other lengths for calibers like 5.7x28 22 Nosler and .22-250 giving shooters guidance for safe suppressor use across different host rifles. The suppressor is not rated for long action or magnum calibers keeping it focused on the intermediate cartridges it is designed around. Designed manufactured and tested entirely in the USA the Osprey offers 5.56 shooters a durable titanium suppressor built for repeatable performance.
