S.O.G Aegis FX Features The S.O.G Aegis FX is built around a full-tang 4116 Krupp stainless steel blade that has been cryogenically treated to improve hardness and edge retention landing in the 58-60 HRC range for a blade that holds its edge well during hard use. The 3.70 inch drop point blade carries a stonewashed finish which not only looks rugged but also helps hide the wear marks that come from field use. Being corrosion resistant this steel is well suited to outdoor conditions where moisture and humidity are a constant concern. At 8.80 inches overall and 4.70 ounces in weight the Aegis FX strikes a balance between a capable fixed blade and a knife light enough to carry comfortably all day. The GRN handle finished in Indigo with acid accent detailing includes an overmolded rubberized grip area that improves comfort and control across a variety of hand positions and grip styles. This ergonomic approach makes the Aegis FX practical for everything from food prep at camp to more demanding cutting tasks in the field. The included nylon sheath is compatible with S.O.G s Universal Mounting System allowing it to be configured for different carry positions depending on the user s preference. Outdoor adventurers who need a dependable full-tang fixed blade with flexible carry options will find the Aegis FX a solid addition to their kit.
