SOG Specialty Knives Aegis FX Features The SOG Aegis FX is built around a full-tang 4116 Krupp stainless steel blade that has undergone a Cryo treatment to improve corrosion resistance and edge retention over repeated use. The 3.7 inch drop point blade carries a stonewashed finish and a plain edge suited to general purpose outdoor cutting tasks. With a blade hardness rated between 58 and 60 on the Rockwell scale the Aegis FX holds its edge through demanding field use. At just 4.7 ounces the knife remains light enough to carry comfortably all day. The GRN handle is finished in Black with Moss Green accents and includes an overmolded rubberized grip area that improves comfort and control across different grip styles. SOG s Universal Mounting System compatible nylon sheath allows for multiple carrying configurations giving users flexibility in how they attach the knife to a belt or pack. This combination of a durable blade and an adaptable carry system makes the Aegis FX well suited to camping hunting and general outdoor use.
