Radical Defense KFM Taper Mount Muzzle Device Features The Radical Defense KFM Taper Mount Muzzle Device is machined from SAE/AISI 8620 steel with a QPQ finish for exceptional surface hardness corrosion resistance and wear resistance through sustained fire and hard use across a wide range of platforms and calibers. Originally developed around an agency requirement for 90% flash signature reduction over a standard A2 birdcage while remaining within the A2 s form factor the KFM delivers meaningful flash mitigation without the added bulk common with competing combination flash hider and suppressor mount designs. The taper lock interface provides a secure repeatable suppressor mounting point with the 1.125x12 LH output thread for consistent bore alignment and suppressor indexing on every installation. The QPQ finish penetrates the steel surface for wear resistance that holds up through repeated suppressor attachment cycles and thermal stress without chipping or wearing through at the mount interface. At 2.2 and just 1.0 in diameter the KFM maintains the compact footprint of the A2 birdcage it was designed to match while adding full suppressor mount capability. Adaptable from 5.56mm carbines through 12.7mm machine guns the KFM serves as the standardized suppressor mount across Radical Defense s full suppressor lineup regardless of caliber or mission set. Radical Defense engineered the KFM from the ground up to meet agency-level flash reduction and suppressor mount requirements in the smallest possible package delivering a purpose-built combination device that performs at the intersection of flash mitigation and suppressor compatibility.
