Radical Defense 249 FVS Features The Radical Defense 249 FVS is built around a 3D printed monolithic core machined from Haynes 282 a nickel-based super alloy developed for extreme heat and stress resistance giving this suppressor the durability to handle sustained full-automatic fire on the M249 SAW without breaking down. Full-auto rated performance is backed by a forward venting design that actively manages cyclic rate which keeps the host weapon running reliably even under heavy sustained fire. Internal Venturi and Venturi assist ports reduce back pressure as gas moves through the suppressor cutting down on the heat and gas blowback that reach the shooter. At 7.5 long and 1.78 in diameter the 249 FVS attaches via a 9/16x24 left-hand direct thread mount matched to the M249 platform s muzzle. A high-temp infrared-retardant coating finished in Flat Dark Earth gives the 249 FVS both signature reduction and a higher level of concealability in thermal-aware environments which matters for operators working in low-visibility or tactical settings. The Haynes 282 body and baffle construction keep weight manageable at just 27.8 ounces despite the suppressor s full-auto rating so the host weapon s handling characteristics are not dramatically altered. Sound thermal and flash mitigation work together to reduce the signature of sustained belt-fed fire protecting the shooter s hearing and situational awareness during extended engagements. Built specifically for the 5.56 NATO M249 SAW Squad Automatic Weapon the Radical Defense 249 FVS is a purpose-engineered suppressor for operators who demand reliability under the most demanding full-auto conditions.
