Radical Defense M249 FVS Features The Radical Defense M249 FVS is built using a 3D printed monolithic design from Haynes 282 a nickel-based super alloy chosen for its strength and resistance to the extreme heat generated during sustained automatic fire. Designed specifically for the M249 SAW the suppressor is rated for full-automatic use a demanding standard that sets it apart from suppressors built primarily for semi-automatic platforms. Its forward venting design works to control the weapon s cyclic rate helping keep the gun running within a more manageable and predictable range. Internal Venturi and Venturi-assist ports reduce back pressure and heat while drawing cooler air through the suppressor body during extended strings of fire. Measuring 7.5 inches in length and weighing 27.8 oz the M249 FVS attaches via direct thread on a 9/16x24 left-hand thread pattern sized for the 5.56 NATO platform it was designed around. A high-temp infrared-retardant coating is applied to the suppressor body reducing thermal signature and improving concealability in tactical scenarios. This coating also helps protect the suppressor s finish from the repeated heat cycling that comes with sustained automatic fire. Finished in Flat Dark Earth the Radical Defense M249 FVS combines advanced materials and a purpose-built design for operators who demand suppression performance under the most demanding firing conditions.
