Mdt Sporting Goods Inc Oryx Sportsman Chassis Features The MDT Oryx Sportsman Chassis is machined from hard anodized aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum giving it the rigidity needed to bed the Savage 110 short action securely while free-floating the barrel for consistent repeatable accuracy. This metal chassis platform replaces the factory stock and is engineered specifically to improve ergonomics and adjustability over a traditional polymer or wood stock. At 4.2 pounds it adds meaningful heft that helps tame recoil and stabilize the rifle during precision shooting sessions. The chassis is built for the Savage 110 short action pattern giving factory-rifle owners a direct upgrade path into the precision rifle world. The buttstock is fully integrated and adjustable with a length of pull ranging from 13 to 13.5 inches of adjustment via the included spacer kit allowing the rifle to be tailored to the shooter s build and shooting position. The chassis accepts AR15 standard and vertical pistol grips letting shooters choose a grip angle and texture that matches their preference from a wide range of aftermarket options. This right-hand configuration is finished in a distinct Sniper Gray to set it apart from a standard black build. Together these features make the Oryx Sportsman Chassis a practical entry point for shooters moving from a factory stock into a true precision rifle chassis system.
