Leupold BackCountry Cross-Slot Base Features The Leupold BackCountry Cross-Slot Base is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum a material chosen to make it one of Leupold s lightest yet most rugged mount options available. This base is designed specifically to fit the Marlin 336 a short-action lever rifle ensuring a precise secure fit rather than relying on a universal mount. Its cross-slot design accepts both Picatinny-style and Weaver-style rings giving the owner flexibility in choosing the ring system that best matches their scope and mounting preferences. At just 5.9 inches long and 0.4 inch in height the base adds minimal bulk to the rifle s profile. Leupold builds every mount to be as rugged and dependable as the optics it is designed to secure recognizing that the connection between scope and firearm is critical to consistent accuracy. Mounting hardware is included simplifying installation onto the Marlin 336 s receiver. Weighing just 1.75 oz the BackCountry base adds negligible weight while providing a stable foundation for a scope under recoil. Made in the USA and backed by Leupold s reputation for durability the BackCountry Cross-Slot Base in Matte Black is a trustworthy choice for Marlin 336 owners looking to mount quality glass on their rifle.
