Leupold BackCountry Cross-Slot Base Features The Leupold BackCountry Cross-Slot Base is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum a material choice that keeps the base exceptionally lightweight while still delivering the strength needed to hold a scope securely under recoil. This base is purpose-built to fit the Browning BAR ensuring a precise drop-in fit without modification. The cross-slot design is compatible with both Picatinny-style and Weaver-style rings giving hunters the freedom to choose ring hardware based on preference or what they already own. At just 5.90 inches long and 0.40 inches tall the base adds minimal bulk to the rifle s profile. Weighing only 1.75 oz the BackCountry base is well suited to hunters who count every ounce when carrying a rifle long distances into the backcountry. Mounting hardware is included simplifying installation for those setting up a new scope on their Browning BAR. The Matte Black finish keeps the base from drawing attention in the field and matches typical rifle hardware finishes. For Browning BAR owners who need a reliable ultralight scope base built for hard hunting use the Leupold BackCountry Cross-Slot Base is available for sale at GrabAGun.
