Federal Terminal Ascent Features Federal Terminal Ascent component bullets are built with a bonded lead core and jacket construction a design that fuels deep reliable penetration even on close-range targets where velocity remains high at impact. The patented Slipstream polymer tip is engineered to initiate expansion at velocities 200 fps lower than comparable designs which extends the bullet s terminal performance envelope out to longer ranges where velocity has dropped off. At 136 grains and a .277 inch diameter these bullets are sized specifically for .270 Win cartridges giving reloaders a trusted option for building their own long-range hunting loads. A ballistic coefficient of .493 reflects the bullet s long sleek profile which helps it retain velocity and resist wind drift at extended distances. AccuChannel groove technology is engineered into the bullet s design to improve accuracy and minimize drag as the bullet travels down the bore and through the air. This technology works alongside the bonded core construction to deliver a bullet that performs consistently whether the shot is close or far. Packaged 50 to a box these are component bullets for reloading only and are not loaded ammunition so reloaders will need to assemble them with appropriate brass primers and powder. For long-range big game hunters who handload their own ammunition Federal Terminal Ascent component bullets offer premium performance backed by Federal s bullet engineering expertise.
