Federal Terminal Ascent Features The Federal Terminal Ascent component bullet is engineered around a bonded lead core and a copper shank that work together to retain weight through impact which keeps the bullet driving straight and deep even after punching through heavy muscle and bone. The exclusive Slipstream polymer tip is the mechanism behind its low-velocity expansion initiating reliable mushrooming at velocities around 200 fps lower than comparable designs so the bullet still performs at extended ranges where velocity has bled off. AccuChannel groove technology cuts bearing surface and drag without hurting accuracy which is what lets this bullet post an extremely high ballistic coefficient for its weight class. Loaded at 130 grains in 6.5mm / .264 diameter it is purpose-built for handloaders assembling long-range hunting cartridges in the popular 6.5mm family. The long sleek ogive that gives this bullet its high ballistic coefficient also means less wind drift and flatter trajectories at distance a real advantage when shot placement has to hold up past typical hunting ranges. Each box ships 50 bullets giving a handloader enough component to work up and finish a load development session without running back to the bench twice. Federal markets Terminal Ascent as match-grade accuracy built into a bonded hunting bullet a combination that lets one load serve both the range and the field. For sale at GrabAGun this is a strong choice for reloaders chasing dependable long-range expansion and deep penetration from a single all-range 6.5mm bullet.
