Faxon Firearms PCC Blowback Gen2 Bolt Carrier Group Features The Faxon Firearms PCC Blowback Gen2 Bolt Carrier Group is purpose-built for 9mm AR-15 pistol caliber carbines keeping the dual COLT and GLOCK compatible geometry that made the original PCC carrier a favorite while adding meaningful updates. The carrier is machined from MIL-SPEC 8620 steel and fully heat treated then finished in salt bath nitride for corrosion resistance and easy long-term maintenance. Generation 2 upgrades the extractor to an AR-15 pivoted and sprung design improving extraction reliability over the original fixed extractor used on many PCC carriers. A ramped bottom on the carrier is designed so many common aftermarket triggers can be used without interference a detail competitive shooters and plinkers alike will appreciate. For easier disassembly the carrier uses a standard AR-15 firing pin cotter pin rather than a proprietary retention system and a stronger firing pin rounds out the durability improvements. The carrier key is kept separate from the charging surface a design choice that helps prevent the sheared keys sometimes seen after aggressive bolt manipulation. A removable 14.9 ounce carrier weight makes the system compatible with JP Enterprises and similar adjustable buffer systems letting builders fine-tune cycling for their specific gas system and ammunition. Full-auto compatibility and compatibility with MP5 magazine lower receivers round out a carrier built to handle hard use while remaining serviceable over the long term.
