Berger Bullets Elite Hunter Features The Berger Elite Hunter is built around a high-BC hybrid-ogive bullet developed specifically for hunters who need an ethical long-range terminal performer in 7mm PRC. The 175 grain projectile is engineered to penetrate 2 to 3 inches of tissue before initiating extreme hydrostatic shock producing a massive wound cavity through the vitals rather than expending energy on exit. That controlled penetration depth means the Elite Hunter deposits the bulk of its energy inside the animal which is exactly where it does the most good on game. Driven at 2950 feet per second this load gives long-range hunters a flat trajectory and retained energy well out to extended hunting distances. Every Elite Hunter bullet is wrapped in Berger s J4 Hunting Jacket a component held to a tolerance of less than .0003 inch total indicated runout for exceptional shot-to-shot consistency. That jacket concentricity translates directly into tighter groups and more predictable terminal performance in the field which matters most on the single shot a hunter gets at a trophy animal. Loaded in brass cases with boxer primers for reloading each box holds 20 rounds ready for the hunt. For a 7mm PRC platform the Berger Elite Hunter is a long-range hunting load built to elevate that chambering above the rest.
