Thompson Center Encore ProHunter XT Features The TC Arms Encore ProHunter XT ships with a .50 caliber 28 inch barrel from the factory and its interchangeable barrel system means the same frame can be fitted with other rifle or shotgun barrels for additional hunting seasons. The Quick Load Accurizor uses a false muzzle design with a counterbored crown that simplifies loading saboted projectiles while improving overall accuracy downrange. The Speed Breech 3 breech plug removes with just a quarter turn thanks to its triple lead thread design giving it more thread contact area that resists corrosion-driven seizing compared to conventional plugs. A rotating Swing Hammer can be positioned to either side of the frame keeping the hammer accessible even when a scope is mounted overhead. Inside the FlexTech stock and forend four Energy Burners work alongside the recoil pad to let the stock compress slightly under firing cutting felt recoil by roughly forty-two percent for a more comfortable shooting experience. The rifle is drilled and tapped for scope mounts and comes standard with Williams fiber optic sights for reliable open-sight aiming in variable light. WeatherShield coating on the barrel receiver and other critical parts adds an extra layer of corrosion resistance extending the muzzleloader s service life in wet or humid hunting conditions. At roughly 7 lbs with a 14 inch length of pull and a crisp trigger the ProHunter XT is built for hunters who demand accuracy and durability from their inline muzzleloader.
