Savage Axis 2 XP Features The Savage Axis 2 XP pairs the redesigned Axis 2 action with a factory-mounted 3-9x40 riflescope so hunters get a complete sighted-in rifle straight out of the box rather than a separate optics purchase. The 20 button-rifled free-floating barrel and 1-in-9.5 twist rate are matched to 7mm-08 Rem for consistent long-range performance and the user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets shooters tune pull weight to their preference. Tool-less windage and elevation turrets on the included scope make zeroing quick in the field. The detachable 4-round box magazine feeds reliably from a steel receiver drilled and tapped for further optic customization. The FDE synthetic stock keeps the rifle lightweight and weather-resistant while giving the Axis 2 XP a distinct purpose-built look and the improved ergonomic bolt handle enhances grip and control when cycling rounds in cold or wet conditions. A steel trigger guard and Weaver-style scope base add durability where the rifle sees the most use. Sling swivel studs come standard for comfortable all-day carry and the recoil pad softens felt recoil on the 7mm-08 s mild but capable cartridge. This left-hand compact package is built for hunters who want a ready-to-hunt rifle without additional setup.
