Savage Axis XP Features The Savage Axis XP is built around a precision button-rifled carbon steel barrel with a 1:16 twist rate matched to .350 Legend projectiles for consistent tack-driving accuracy. The matte black receiver is drilled and tapped and paired with the included Weaver 3-9x40mm scope already mounted and bore-sighted at the factory to save hunters a trip to the range before opening day. Thread-in headspacing and a detachable box magazine round out an action designed for dependable repeatable performance shot after shot. The updated ergonomic bolt handle improves control in cold or wet conditions a real advantage during late-season hunts. The black synthetic sporter stock features enhanced texturing and an ambidextrous palm swell for a secure grip regardless of hand size while its compact 12.75 length of pull suits smaller-framed shooters. At 7 lbs the rifle carries easily through timber or over rough terrain without wearing down the hunter on long stalks.
