LWRC IC-DI Features The LWRC IC-DI is built around a direct impingement operating system paired with a cold hammer forged spiral fluted barrel that reduces weight while maintaining LWRC s demanding accuracy standards and the fluting also increases surface area for improved heat dissipation during sustained strings of fire. A 1-in-7 twist rate stabilizes a broad range of 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem bullet weights giving shooters flexibility in ammunition selection from lightweight varmint loads to heavier match projectiles. The Nicor-treated barrel finish adds corrosion resistance and reduces friction for smoother cycling extending service life under hard use. Fully ambidextrous controls including the safety selector magazine release and bolt catch make the rifle equally comfortable for right- and left-handed shooters transitioning between positions or shoulders. The monoforged upper receiver integrates a modular one-piece free-float M-LOK rail giving the IC-DI a rigid accessory-ready platform without added bulk so optics lights and grips can be mounted without disturbing barrel harmonics. The compact adjustable stock lets shooters dial in length of pull for different body types and shooting positions collapsing the rifle from 32 to 35.25 inches overall to suit body armor close-quarters work or a longer field stance. A threaded 16.1-inch barrel accepts a muzzle device or suppressor for shooters wanting reduced recoil or sound signature adding further versatility to the platform s role as a home defense range or duty rifle. Finished in Patriot Brown Cerakote the IC-DI stands out from typical black rifles while maintaining the same corrosion resistance and durability LWRC is known for giving shooters a distinctive rugged AR platform backed by the company s reputation for precision manufacturing.
