The Monoforge one-piece upper receiver integrates the rail base directly into the upper for a stronger more rigid platform than a standard two-piece design. Every LWRCI forging is coined meaning the material is struck twice in the die for precise dimensional accuracy and a superior surface finish. The cold hammer forged spiral fluted barrel is Black Nitride treated and precisely torqued at the factory with a 1:7 twist that stabilizes a wide range of 5.56 bullet weights. Fully ambidextrous lower receiver controls including the bolt catch magazine release and safety selector along with the ambidextrous charging handle make the ICMKII equally fast for right- and left-handed shooters. The nickel boron coated bolt carrier group adds wear resistance corrosion resistance and permanent lubricity for smoother cycling shot after shot.
