Barrett MRAD Covert Features The Barrett MRAD Covert expands the renowned MRAD platform with a user changeable barrel system allowing the shooter to swap barrels for maintenance or caliber changes without sending the rifle back to the factory. Its two-position safety and two-stage trigger give the shooter deliberate repeatable control over the shot while the 1:8 inch twist rate stabilizes a wide range of .308 Win projectile weights for long-range accuracy. The muzzle brake reduces recoil and muzzle rise helping the shooter stay on target for fast follow-up shots at distance. Ambidextrous controls make the rifle equally usable for right and left-handed shooters operating in varied field positions. The side folding stock complete with an adjustable comb and adjustable length of pull lets the shooter dial in a precise cheek weld to match their optic height and body type. Once folded the stock dramatically reduces the rifle s overall footprint enabling it to be broken down and concealed within a standard bag or backpack for covert transport between positions. A Picatinny top rail spans the black Cerakote aluminum receiver providing a stable consistent mounting surface for a wide range of optics. Built from stainless steel barrel material and aluminum receiver components the MRAD Covert balances the durability long-range shooters demand with the mobility modern tactical scenarios require.
