B&P Heavy Dove & Quail Features The B&P Heavy Dove & Quail shotshell is loaded in .410 GA with a 2.5 hull carrying a 1/2 oz payload of #8 lead birdshot at a muzzle velocity of 1210 fps tuned specifically for dove and quail hunting where fast target acquisition matters. The Gordon case wad is a key part of the design reducing the pressure developed on firing and softening felt recoil without sacrificing the load s performance downrange. The conical shape of the Gordon base wad optimizes powder combustion which means more consistent velocity and pattern from shell to shell. This combination of a proven shot size and a recoil-reducing wad system makes the load well suited to long days afield chasing fast-flushing birds. The four concentric rings forming the base wad give the shell a slightly larger diameter at the base than the body of the cylinder a design detail that contributes to the wad s sealing and combustion efficiency. Each box holds 25 rounds a practical count for a day of upland hunting without constant reloading of a shell pouch. Baschiere & Pellagri built its reputation on shotshell technology aimed at reducing recoil while maintaining devastating patterns and this load reflects that engineering focus. For upland hunters seeking a dedicated dove and quail load with softer recoil and reliable performance the Heavy Dove & Quail is available for sale at GrabAGun.
