B&P Competition One Features The B&P Competition One is engineered around the Gordon System a case wad whose conical base and four concentric rings optimize how the powder charge burns inside the hull. That optimized combustion translates directly into reduced chamber pressure which in turn softens the felt recoil the shooter experiences on release. Because the wad is slightly larger in diameter than the shell body it also seals more consistently against the bore supporting uniform pattern density shot after shot. The result is a 7/8 oz load of #7.5 lead shot at 1160 fps that performs like a heavier load without the punishing recoil that usually comes with it. Softer recoil matters most over a long training session or a full tournament squad rotation where fatigue from a harsh-shooting load can erode a shooter s form before the final stations. The Competition One s low brass 2.75 hull and 209 primer keep the shell running reliably through autoloaders and break-actions alike so cycling issues never become the excuse for a missed target. Each box holds 25 rounds of this Birdshot-class lead load sized and weighted specifically for trap and skeet disciplines rather than field use. For shooters logging hundreds of rounds a week in pursuit of a better score this shell is built to keep the gun soft-shooting and the shooter focused on the clay.
