"On® Cloudboom Strike 2: If you're training for a marathon or chasing a personal best on race day, the On Cloudboom Strike 2 is a neutral road running shoe built to hold up when the miles get hard. It's designed for tempo runs and race day efforts, with a ride that stays responsive from the first mile through the final stretch. The Helion™ HF midsole compound is 15% lighter and 6% more resilient than its predecessor, so the shoe carries less weight on your foot while returning more energy late in a long-distance race. A carbon fibre speedboard stiffens the transition from midfoot to forefoot, propelling you forward at toe-off without wasting effort. In the forefoot, CloudTec® Sphere uses a multi-directional foam expansion system alongside a free-floating bounceboard to keep the ride cushioned and responsive even when fatigue sets in. The leno weave upper is open and breathable, adapting to your foot shape while actively moving heat and moisture away - useful when race conditions are warm. A waterfall heel construction lowers the heel counter and softens its edges, reducing Achilles pressure so the fit stays comfortable deep into a marathon. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I took these out for a hard tempo run and noticed right away how light they feel underfoot. The heel sits really comfortably - no rubbing, no pressure - and the forefoot has that snappy, responsive feel you want when you're pushing the pace. These are the kind of shoes that make a long race feel more manageable."" - Hallie, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Phoenix AZWho It's Best ForIf you're a neutral runner looking for a high-performance racing shoe for marathon distance or tempo training, the Cloudboom Strike 2 is worth a close look.
