Browning BAR MK4 Hunter Composite Features The Browning BAR MK4 Hunter Composite operates on a semi-auto action chambered in 30-06 with a 22 steel fluted barrel and a 1-in-10 rate of twist delivering the proven accuracy and versatile terminal performance that have made the 30-06 one of the most enduring hunting cartridges in American history. The lightweight alloy receiver keeps overall weight to just 7 lbs. 2 oz. while providing the structural integrity needed for reliable semi-auto cycling in demanding field conditions. A drilled and tapped receiver ensures immediate compatibility with a wide range of optics mounting solutions. The synthetic stock provides a lightweight and weather-resistant platform with a practical hunter-focused profile suited for a wide range of shooters and conditions. Barrel fluting reduces weight while improving heat dissipation during extended shooting sessions complementing the overall lightweight design philosophy of the MK4 platform. QD sling cups and a two-position crossbolt safety round out a rifle built with practical hunters in mind from the ground up.
