"Women's Mizuno® Wave Horizon 9: The Women's Mizuno Wave Horizon 9 is a stability road running shoe built for women who overpronate and want a cushioned, supportive daily trainer that can handle consistent mileage. If you've been looking for a shoe that keeps your stride feeling smooth and controlled without sacrificing softness underfoot, this is worth a close look. The dual-layer midsole pairs MIZUNO ENERZY NXT on top for responsive energy return with MIZUNO ENERZY foam below for lasting resilience - so the ride stays comfortable whether you're logging easy miles or pushing through a long run. The asymmetrical Foam Wave adds stability and smooth energy transfer without making the shoe feel stiff or rigid. The Smooth Stretch Woven upper is engineered to control stretch direction during your running motion, keeping the fit secure where it matters most without locking down your foot. A gusseted tongue wraps snugly around the foot to reduce slippage on longer efforts, and the X10 carbon rubber outsole is placed in high-wear zones to hold up over time - a practical detail if you're putting in regular road miles. The Wave Horizon 9 also incorporates recycled materials into its construction. One important fit note: this shoe runs small, so sizing up half a size is recommended. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I wore the Wave Horizon 9 on a longer run and noticed how well the midsole held up toward the end - it stayed soft without feeling like it was losing support. The gusseted tongue made a real difference too; no shifting or hotspots even after several miles."" - Hallie, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Phoenix AZWho It's Best ForIf you overpronate and want a stability running shoe that feels cushioned and smooth on daily training runs and long road miles, the Wave Horizon 9 is a strong fit.
