"Men's Mizuno® Wave Horizon 9: The Men's Mizuno Wave Horizon 9 is a supportive daily trainer built for overpronators who want a cushioned, stable ride on the road. If you log consistent mileage and need a shoe that manages overpronation without making the ride feel stiff or heavy, this is the kind of shoe worth paying attention to. The dual-layer midsole pairs MIZUNO ENERZY NXT on top for responsive energy return with MIZUNO ENERZY foam underneath for cushioned landings - so each stride feels soft when you land and lively as you push off. At 11.3 ounces (size 9) with a 41mm heel stack, it's built for runners who want real cushioning under longer efforts. The Foam Wave - Mizuno's asymmetrical wave design built into the midsole foam - provides structural support that helps control overpronation without adding rigidity to the ride. The Smooth Stretch Woven upper moves with your foot rather than fighting it, and the gusseted tongue keeps debris out and stays in place through longer runs. On the bottom, the X10 outsole uses a durable carbon rubber compound in high-wear zones to extend the life of the shoe on road surfaces. One note on fit: the Wave Horizon 9 runs small, so sizing up half a size is recommended. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I took the Wave Horizon 9 out for a longer road run and noticed right away how well the midsole handled the cushioning without feeling mushy. The support felt built into the ride rather than bolted on - my feet weren't fighting the shoe at all, even late in the run."" - Michael, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Seattle WAWho It's Best ForIf you overpronate and want a road running shoe that offers real cushioning and stability for daily training and long runs, the Wave Horizon 9 is worth a close look.
