"Women's Mizuno® Wave Daichi 9: The Wave Daichi 9 is a women's trail running shoe built for runners who want reliable grip and cushioned comfort on unpredictable terrain. Whether you're navigating wet roots, loose gravel, or uneven singletrack, this neutral trail shoe gives you the confidence to keep moving. A forefoot rock plate adds underfoot protection on technical ground, and a shoelace pocket keeps things tidy when the trail gets rough. The midsole uses a two-layer Foam Wave construction - U4icX on top and Mizuno Enerzy on the bottom - to balance cushioning with energy return over longer efforts. Underfoot, the VIBRAM MEGAGRIP outsole compound delivers 30% more vertical grip and 20% more lateral grip than conventional VIBRAM soles, so traction holds up whether the ground is dry or soaked. The 10mm drop suits runners who prefer a more traditional heel-to-toe feel on the trail. Recycled materials are incorporated into the build, so you're getting performance without unnecessary waste. The fit runs up half a size, so plan accordingly when ordering. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I really noticed how secure the outsole felt on a wet, rooty section of trail - it just grabbed. The rock plate is subtle enough that you don't feel stiff, but you definitely notice it when you step on something sharp. The shoelace pocket is a small thing, but it's genuinely useful when you're moving fast and don't want a loose lace catching on anything."" - Sabrina, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, San Diego, CAWho It's Best ForIf you run trails regularly and want a neutral trail shoe that handles wet or technical terrain without sacrificing cushioning, the Wave Daichi 9 is worth a close look. It's a strong fit for women who log miles on mixed surfaces, prefer a 10mm drop, and want the added security of VIBRAM MEGAGRIP traction underfoot. Runners who size up half a size will get the best fit out of the box. VIP Family members can take the Wave Daichi 9 for a 90-Day test drive with our Perfect Fit Guarantee."
