"Men's Nike® Romaleos 4: When you're serious about heavy lifting, the Nike Romaleos 4 is a cross training shoe built around one goal - giving you a stable, locked-down platform to move serious weight. The wide heel creates a firm base under your foot, so you're not losing energy to an unstable surface when it matters most. Whether you're working through squats, cleans, or overhead lifts, this shoe is built to keep you grounded and in control. The details here are all about power transfer and security. A rigid midsole with a built-in heel lift helps channel your effort into the bar rather than absorbing it into the shoe, which means more of your energy goes where it needs to go. Adjustable midfoot straps lock down over the laces to keep your foot from shifting during heavy sets. The rubber tread on the outsole holds its grip on gym floors, so your footing stays solid from your first rep to your last. Note that this shoe runs up half a size, so consider sizing down when ordering. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I put these on for a heavy squat session and noticed right away how planted I felt - there's no give in the midsole, which is exactly what you want when you're loading up the bar. The strap over the laces is a nice touch too, because your foot really doesn't move around at all."" - Dave, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, San Diego, CAWho It's Best ForIf you spend time under a barbell and want a cross training shoe that keeps you stable through heavy squats, Olympic lifts, or compound movements, the Romaleos 4 is worth a serious look. It's a strong fit for weightlifters and strength athletes who prioritize a firm, non-compressive base and a secure fit over cushioning or flexibility. Keep in mind the half-size-up fit recommendation when choosing your size. VIP Family members can take the Romaleos 4 for a 90-Day test drive with our Perfect Fit Guarantee."
