Walter Stern Shallow Form Watch Glasses. To protect against breakage the glasses are fire-hardened to withstand temperatures from hot liquids to boiling point. Nickel-plated brass gasket and stem finish provide durability. Watch glasses are used in laboratories and research facilities throughout the world. The precision-drilled spherical tops allow the placement of a single vial without compromising the shape or depth of the stopper neck. The hexagonal base forms a sturdy base for the positioning of a computer or other equipment. Borosilicate glass prevents the entrance of dust and light and the platinum-plated copper spout provides a tight seal without allowing the escape of oxygen during distillation procedures.
