Caldwell AR500 Target Post Features The Caldwell AR500 Target Post is constructed from the same 3/8 inch AR500 rifle rated steel used in Caldwell s own line of steel targets giving it the strength to withstand impacts from centerfire rifles without bending or failing. Its spike leg design allows for quick and easy setup in the field driving securely into the ground to keep the post stable through repeated impacts. A replaceable AR500 hook accommodates any target with a standard 1/2 inch by 1 inch slot giving shooters flexibility to swap in different target shapes as needed. At an assembled length of 70 inches the post supports targets weighing up to 50 pounds handling everything from small plates to larger silhouette targets. The 2 piece design breaks down for compact transport and storage making it practical to bring along to a range or move between shooting positions on private land. Its black and yellow finish improves visibility of the post itself helping shooters account for its position relative to targets and backstops. Because it shares the same steel rating as Caldwell s AR500 targets the post is built to handle the same demanding use over thousands of rounds. For shooters setting up a semi-permanent or portable steel target range the AR500 Target Post offers a dependable long lasting hanging solution.
