Check-Mate 1911 Sub-Compact Magazine Features The Check-Mate 1911 Sub-Compact Magazine is machined from steel and finished in Stainless giving it corrosion resistance and durability that hold up well to daily carry and range use. Sized specifically for the 1911 Sub-Compact 3 inch frame it holds 7 rounds of 9mm Luger matching the capacity that platform is built around rather than adapting a full-size magazine. The Stainless finish also provides visual contrast against a black or two-tone pistol making it easy to identify at a glance in a range bag. Made in the USA the magazine is manufactured to the exacting tolerances that reliable 1911 feeding requires. A properly fitted magazine is essential to a sub-compact 1911 s reliability since the shorter grip frame leaves less room for feeding error than a full-size gun. This Check-Mate magazine is built to that specific geometry supporting smooth feeding and consistent slide lock-back when empty. Steel construction with a Stainless finish also resists the wear that daily carry can put on a magazine over time. For sub-compact 1911 owners who want a dependable spare or replacement magazine this Check-Mate offering is a solid purpose-built choice.
