The J. P. Sauer & Sohn Replacement Barrel for the Sauer 404 is a premium factory-original modular barrel chambered in the inherently accurate 6.5x55 Swedish caliber. Cold hammer-forged in Isny, Germany, this 560mm (22") barrel utilizes a standard 17mm contour taper to perfectly balance effortless handling on long alpine stalks with the structural integrity needed for exceptional sub-MOA thermal stability. Designed for the S404 split-receiver takedown chassis, its integrated six-lug breech lets you swap calibers or pack down the rifle using only the onboard Sauer Universal Key (SUS) tool, delivering a guaranteed return-to-zero upon reassembly. Finished with a weather-resistant nitrided coating and outfitted with high-visibility factory iron sights, its precise 1:8.7" (220 mm) twist rate is beautifully optimized to stabilize long, high-BC hunting projectiles—making it a supreme all-around choice for medium game pursuit worldwide.
