The Knives of Alaska Magnum Ulu is a compact fixed-blade hunting knife built around the traditional ulu configuration, with the handle positioned above a broad, continuously curved cutting edge. This shape gives hunters and game processors a practical tool for skinning, fleshing hides and slicing meat. Measuring 3-3/8 inches across the blade, this model is compact enough to carry with other field equipment while providing the long curved edge that distinguishes an ulu from a conventional hunting knife. The blade is made from D2 high-carbon tool steel and is individually hand ground, sharpened and finished. Knives of Alaska uses double-draw tempering and cryogenic treatment in its blade-making process, and the finished steel is rated at 59-61 on the Rockwell hardness scale. These details make the Magnum Ulu well suited to hunters who want a purpose-designed cutting tool for careful game-processing work rather than a conventional straight or drop-point blade. This exact version has a black SureGrip handle that provides a substantial gripping surface directly above the blade. Its simple fixed-blade construction keeps the tool ready for use without hinges, locks or other folding components. A fitted leather sheath is included to cover the curved edge during storage and transport, making it easier to carry the knife safely with field gear. At a published weight of 6.4 ounces, the Magnum Ulu remains a manageable addition to a hunting pack or processing kit. Made in the United States, it combines Knives of Alaska's field-oriented design with a specialized blade shape that has long been used for controlled skinning, fleshing and slicing tasks.Specifications and Features: 3-3/8-inch curved ulu blade D2 high-carbon tool steel Hand-ground, sharpened and finished blade Double-draw tempered and cryogenically treated Rockwell hardness: 59-61 HRC Black SureGrip handle Leather sheath included Product weight: 6.4 ounces Made in the USA Brand: Knives of Alaska Model: Magnum Ulu Product Type: Fixed Blade Ulu Knife Manufacturer Part Number: 00122FG UPC: 790380007668
