It pairs a Serenity Damascus stainless steel slide with Cabot's proprietary stainless steel double stack frame and grip, then finishes the whole pistol in full matte stainless with the Damascus highs polished for contrast. The result is a working 9mm 1911 with the capacity of a modern double stack and the look of an heirloom piece. Every Serenity Max is hand fit, hand blended and hand finished. The Damascus slide is the centerpiece: each one shows its own flowing pattern, and polishing the high points against the matte stainless brings that pattern forward without losing the clean, durable surface of stainless steel. No two Serenity Max pistols look exactly alike. Inside the slide is a 5 in. Government length, match grade stainless steel barrel that is hand fit to the gun for accuracy and consistent lockup. Extraction is handled by the Cabot Advantage internal extractor. The trigger breaks at 3.5 lb, light and crisp the way a fine 1911 should be, and the hand fitting throughout gives the slide to frame feel Cabot is known for. The double stack frame and grip are Cabot's own design in stainless steel. The pistol ships with two 17 round magazines, and it uses STI/2011 compatible magazines, so spares and 20 round magazines are easy to find. This unit is set up for a red dot. It includes a Cabot RMR mount for optics with the Trijicon RMR footprint, along with the Cabot stainless ledge rear sight and Cabot stainless front sight. The ledge rear sight gives you a flat face for one hand manipulation off a belt or boot. It also carries the Cabot Double Stack Extended Magwell in matte aluminum. The magwell and stainless mainspring housing are machined from American billet 7075 aluminum and guide the magazine in fast during reloads, a real advantage in competition and on the range.
