Its large ghost ring aperture affords a wide field of view that speeds up target acquisition compared to a traditional notch rear sight which matters when game or a target presents itself quickly. The included .230 inch and .191 inch inside diameter apertures let the shooter swap between a brighter faster sight picture and a tighter more precise one depending on available light. An all-steel blued construction gives the sight set the durability to handle the recoil and handling that a working lever gun sees in the field. The White Stripe front sight pairs with the rear ghost ring replacing the factory blade and ramp with a painted white stripe on a blued steel body for sharp contrast in any lighting condition. Designed for easy do-it-yourself installation the set is built specifically for Henry .357 and Big Boy carbines with a round barrel and screw-on front sight and it does not fit models with a front sight blade dovetailed directly into the barrel. Because the rear sight moves from the barrel to the receiver some minor zeroing adjustment may be needed after install.
