WOOX Thunderbird Features The Woox Thunderbird Throwing Axe is purpose built for throwing using a lightweight 4 inch Italian tempered carbon steel head that improves accuracy and consistency compared to heavier general purpose axes. The tomahawk style design doubles as a one-handed wood cutter making it equally useful for quick chopping chores around a campsite as it is for dedicated throwing sessions. A 14 inch handle made from real American Appalachian hickory provides a durable shock absorbing grip that holds up to repeated impacts against a throwing target. The plain edge blade geometry is ground for clean consistent penetration on every throw. Finished in black the Thunderbird meets all National and International competition requirements set by WATL and IATF making it a legitimate choice for sanctioned axe throwing leagues and tournaments. A protective sheath ships with the axe to guard the sharp edge during transport and storage preventing accidental cuts when not in use. A dual grit whetstone puck is also included allowing owners to maintain the Thunderbird s throwing edge without needing to purchase separate sharpening tools. Assembled in the USA the Woox Thunderbird Throwing Axe combines competition grade construction with practical camp utility for throwers of all skill levels.
