WOOX Thunderbird Features The Woox Thunderbird Throwing Axe features a lightweight head engineered specifically for throwing accuracy rather than a general purpose chopping head that sacrifices balance for cutting power. Its tomahawk style profile makes it versatile enough to double as a one handed wood cutter for quick chopping projects when the axe is not being thrown. The 4 inch Italian tempered carbon steel head holds an edge well while remaining tough enough to withstand repeated impacts against a target board. Because the axe is offered in distinct colors teams and individual competitors can easily distinguish their throwing axes during group events. The 14 inch handle is made from real American Appalachian hickory a wood valued for its shock absorption and durability under repeated impact stress. This combination of a tempered steel head and hickory handle meets all National and International throwing competition requirements including WATL and IATF standards. The axe s overall balance and lightweight head make it approachable for beginners while still being precise enough for competitive throwers. For anyone getting into axe throwing as a hobby or competitive sport the Woox Thunderbird is a well built option for sale at GrabAGun.
