Traditions Hand Knapped Flints Features The Traditions Hand Knapped Flints are hand knapped from natural flint rock a traditional process that shapes a sharp striking edge capable of producing a strong consistent shower of sparks. This hands-on method has been used for centuries because it produces a more reliable spark than machine-cut alternatives which matters when a hunter or shooter depends on a clean ignition in the field. Sized at 5/8 inches these flints are built to fit standard flintlock mechanisms without modification. Consistent spark production is the entire purpose of this component and that consistency is what keeps a flintlock rifle or pistol shooting reliably. Flint quality directly affects how dependable a flintlock ignition system performs so carrying spares is standard practice among muzzleloading shooters. The natural stone material used here is chosen specifically for its sparking properties over other available materials. This single-flint pack gives shooters an affordable way to keep a spare on hand for range days or hunting trips. Available for sale at GrabAGun this is a simple practical accessory for anyone running a flintlock ignition system.
