Timney Trigger s Featherweight Deluxe Trigger Features The Timney Triggers Featherweight Deluxe replaces the factory Mauser 98K trigger with a precision unit set at a crisp 3 pound pull a significant improvement over the often heavy and gritty factory trigger found on surplus and sporterized Mauser actions. A lighter more consistent trigger pull lets a shooter break each shot without disturbing the sight picture which translates directly into tighter groups on target. Because the trigger drops in without requiring a gunsmith Mauser owners can complete the upgrade themselves with basic tools and get back to shooting the same day. The trigger is ready to use straight out of the box though it can also be fine-tuned for a shooter s personal feel. Machined from steel the Featherweight Deluxe is built to hold its factory-set pull weight over years of use rather than drifting out of specification like a worn factory trigger can. A critical safety feature of this trigger is that it will not move when the safety is engaged keeping the rifle secure during handling transport or storage. This reliability makes the trigger suitable for both range use and hunting applications where a secure safety is essential.
