Taylors and Co 1866 Carbine Features The Taylors and Co 1866 Carbine brings the iconic toggle-link lever action into a modern production rifle chambered in 38 Special. Its brass receiver is a hallmark of the 1866 pattern prized for its visual warmth and its resistance to corrosion compared to blued steel and it pairs here with a blued 19 barrel for a classic two-tone look. The lever action itself cycles smoothly thanks to decades of design refinement feeding from a tubular magazine that holds 10 rounds plus one in the chamber for a total of 11 rounds ready to fire. A hammer safety adds a layer of protection during carry and handling letting shooters keep the rifle ready without sacrificing peace of mind around the range or camp. Fixed sights consisting of a dovetail rear and a blade front keep the rifle s profile clean while delivering dependable accuracy at the ranges this short rifle is built for. The 1-in-18.75 rate of twist is matched to the 38 Special cartridge for consistent stabilization out of the 19 barrel length and the walnut wood stock offers a traditional point of aim with a warm classic finish that fits the rifle s heritage styling. At 7.48 lbs and an overall length of 37.87 the 1866 Carbine is light and maneuverable enough for all-day carry at cowboy action matches or in the field. Whether used for competition plinking or as a faithful piece of firearms history this lever gun is ready for sale at GrabAGun to shooters who want proven mechanical simplicity in a handy carbine package.
