Manticore Arms Nightbrake Features The Manticore Arms Nightbrake is engineered specifically for the 24mm thread found on the muzzle of most AK-74 rifles giving owners a purpose built muzzle device rather than a generic adapter. Eighteen ports distributed around the upper 270 degrees of the brake direct propellant gas upward and to the sides which helps stabilize the muzzle and reduce felt recoil during rapid strings of fire. The design clears any projectile up to .311 inch in diameter keeping it compatible with the common bullet diameters used in 5.45x39 and similar AK-74 chamberings. A 1/2x28 thread pattern on the device itself allows it to accept a range of accessories once mounted. Machined from 8620 steel the Nightbrake is built to handle sustained use without deforming or losing its finish under heat and repeated firing. Its black finish matches the typical AK-74 furniture and metal finish keeping the rifle s profile consistent after installation. Measuring 2.5 inches in length it adds minimal weight or bulk to the muzzle while still delivering real recoil control. Made in the USA this compensator is a solid upgrade for AK-74 shooters who want tighter control over muzzle rise without altering the rifle s handling characteristics.
