HSM/Hunting Shack Varmint Features The HSM/Hunting Shack Varmint load in .17 Hornet pairs a 20 grain polymer tip bullet with a brass case giving hunters a lightweight fast expanding projectile suited to small game and predator work. The polymer tip design is intended to initiate rapid expansion on impact while improving the bullet s ballistic profile for flatter trajectories at extended range. Brass cases are reloadable giving handloaders the option to recover and reload spent brass after a day of shooting. A boxer primer is used for consistent reliable ignition across every round in the box so shooters can count on uniform performance from the first round to the last. HSM built its varmint ammunition lineup around the needs of hunters who shoot small fast targets across a wide range of calibers and this .17 Hornet offering fits squarely into that philosophy. Each box holds 20 rounds giving shooters a manageable supply for a range session or a day spent calling predators. The combination of a light bullet weight and a Hornet case capacity is well suited to varmint hunters who prioritize minimal recoil and flat trajectories. Hunters working prairie dog towns or calling in coyotes will find this HSM/Hunting Shack loading a dependable choice for consistent performance in the field.
